Options offered:
Kaiser HMO, Kaiser CDHP*, Anthem HMO, Anthem PPO and Anthem CDHP*.

There is no contribution for employee-only coverage. For coverage other than employee-only, the contribution is 20% of the total premium after the amount of the employee-only premium is subtracted for the plan selected.

Dental, Vision,
LTD and Life Insurance

The District currently makes all contributions for dental, vision, long-term disability and life Insurance premiums.

Holidays

The District observes nine holidays each year. Additionally, each employee receives two floating holidays annually.

  • Thanksgiving

Retirement Information

CalPERS 2% @ 62 plan. Employees contribute 6.750% of the total contribution (14.482%). (effective 7/1/20)

(Qualifying “classic” members are recognized at 2 ½ @ 55 plan.) Participation is immediate upon hire.

The District makes both employer and employee contributions for classic members.

Deferred
Compensation (457)**

A Deferred Compensation Plan (457) plan is offered. Employer match of up to $3,500 annually.

Vacation Accrual

0-5 yrs / 12 days
6-10 yrs / 18 days

11-15 yrs / 21 days
16-24 yrs / 24 days
25+ yrs / 26 days

Sick Leave

Sick leave is accrued at the rate of 8 hours per month. Sick leave may be used after 90 days of employment.

Examinations and Continuing Education

In some instances, subject to prior approval, the District will reimburse the cost of job-required or continuing education.

Administrative Leave

Exempt (salaried) employees receive 40 hours administrative leave per year. This leave does not “roll over.”

**Note: Not all members of the Management Unit are Exempt employees.
